Welcome to Marloth Park
Marloth Park is a wildlife sanctuary and holiday town. The game such as kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, nyala, impala, warthog, ostrich and others aren't restricted by fences and roam freely between the houses that are built on 3000 hectares. Local restaurants, petrol station, launderette, gift shop, bakers and mini markets are easily accessible within the park.
Inside Marloth Park, the freedom of movement is remarkable. Tourists can ride a bicycle or go for a walk on their own through the African bush. Movement is not confined to the houses. While walking along the Crocodile River, visitors can watch spectacular wildlife scenes in the adjacent Kruger National Park.
Marloth Park features a humid subtropical climate with mild winters and hot summers.

On the wild side
It's great to be in the bush. This is where all the animals are wild, and they like to bite! You may meet leopards, hyenas and even lions here from time to time. -
Pet subjects
We all love our pets, but here at Marloth we prefer to admire the wild ones. We're in a "red line" area which does not allow animals from outside. -
The tortoise run
Slow is the way to go. When you drive slowly, you'll see more and will be able to avoid running over animals. Our roads have the same status as other SA suburbs, so remember your driver's licence and fasten your seatbelts. NO quad bikes are allowed -
Home is where the heart is
What's more comfortable than a fire in your braai area? A fire raging over the veld is another matter! Let's keep our fires where they belong. -
Nightlife
We like to keep things very quiet here between 18:00 and 6:00. That's the time to listen to the lions roaring in Lionspruit and Kruger, and the hippos in the river. -
Private Animals
Animals need their privacy too. If they're not fed, they remain what they are - wild. Animals that are fed loose their fear of humans and have been known to attack. -
A river runs through it
The beautiful river banks are ecologically sensitive. You can help by not driving on the river roads. Rememberto stay on the right side of the fence! -
The veld needs the wood
The natural cycle of dead wood being re-absorbed into the soil keeps the ecological balance. If it's used as firewood, the veld suffers. -
Spot on
Spotlights can blind animals and make them vulnerable to predators. Hooded lights and yellow bulbs outside the house are great.
